Maranta leuconeura kerchoveana “Green” commonly known as Prayer Plant, is a stunning plant with a very unique growth pattern. The leaves on the green Prayer Plant are made up green tones with brown spotting in an almost geometric pattern. The rounded oblong leaves grow outwards on stiff stems making this plant very dense and lush. Leaves on the Prayer Plant open up horizontally during daylight hours and fold up vertically during night hours, giving it its common name.
Light Requirements - Bright indirect light is best but will tolerate medium light. Do not place in direct sun as it may cause leaves to curl and dry.
Water Requirements - Prefers moist but never soggy soil. Allow top 1/4 of soil to dry between waterings.
