Ctenanthe brule-marxii, commonly referred to as “Fishbone Calathea/Prayer Plant” is part of a large family of plants native to Brazil. It’s green leaves are highly patterned with alternating stripes on the top side and a beautiful eggplant tone on the underside. You can expect this plant to move from horizontal to a vertical structure with daylight vs nightfall, giving it its nickname “Prayer Plant”. Ctenanthe brule-marxii is dense and compact in growth making it excellent as a tabletop plant, displayed on a shelf or suspended in a low hanging planter.
Light Requirements - Bright to Medium Indirect light.
Water Requirements - Allow top 1/3 of soil to dry between waterings. Plant will benefit from misting or added humidity.
